This article stems from the writing tip that I should check Google Trends. I rarely find anything there I can write about. I noticed that “Black Friday” is a popular topic. It seems that I fail to connect with what is popular. If you’re trying to write something that will be popular, this is problematic. The best I can do is offer up my unpopular viewpoint.

What will Black Friday be like this year? Will all of the Chinese made trinkets setting out in the ocean start moving in time? I hope not. I would like to see what Black Friday looks like…
