I consider my Remarkable 2 a tool for limiting screen time.

Is A.I. making us prisoners of the screens or can we use it to get more time away from our devices?

Artificial intelligence is creating more questions than answers for my everyday life. A.I. interrupts in ways which we my not consider. A.I. is involved with apps we use to navigate our commutes and trips, monitor our health and fitness, make purchases, and just about everything I can think about. My question is, “What control do I have over how much A.I. controls me?”. Screen time is a big part of that question.

I read a recent book from 2018 called “Escaping The Rabbit Hole.”. In that book he told of how he participated in creating video games that were more addictive for the user. I would assume that type of technology has continued into all software and A.I. will enhance this. Screen time would be my first red flag for A.I. which is actually harming us.

Why Is Screen Time A Consideration?

The overuse and addiction to time spent in front of our device screens has negative consequences on the quality of life. Some negative impacts include:

  • Sleep disruption
  • Physical health issues
  • Mental Health Concerns
  • Privacy and security threats
