A nice day arrives after a long week of storms and rain. Maybe I can get a motorcycle ride in. The garage is a mess from a winter of throwing whatever out here. Time to clear the way to get the Goldwing going. It starts at the first bump of the starter and hums on high idle as it adjusts to the weather. She’s warmed up and ready to go fast.

The sun feels good. I wait for the neighbors to clear the street of children and toys. Once on the highway, the first harsh gust of wind smacks me around as I struggle to stay in my lane. What a surprise! Let’s see if that was just a rogue gust of wind. No, no it wasn’t. It’s brutal out here.

The good part about the wind, it’s blowing the scents of Spring around. I’ll have to remember to avoid the hog farm(I don’t). Green is popping out everywhere on the trees. The flooding rains brought on growth. The sun is making the blooms pop out. Motorcyclist maybe be down in the 4 season areas of the world during Winter, but when the cycle comes back around, the payoff for waiting makes it worthwhile.

I take note of what the motorcycle is going to need. New tires, a clutch adjustment, maybe some attention to the tight throttle cable, and will that old battery make it another season? My mind wonders to all sorts of ideas to write about. Ideas for what needs done in the garden comes around. The weather is waking up my brain too.
