What Can Be Learned From Conspiracy Theories?

I have a long history of learning about conspiracy theories. My first was Nostradamus. The thought that a societal outcast from long ago told our future in cryptic stories intrigued me as a child. Today, I’ve learned to not put to much into things like this. I’ve found that Nostradamus never seemed to warn anyone in any meaningful way. It’s always after the fact that his writings are applied. Still, just wondering what he was trying to do still holds my interest.
