Why Do I Daydream While Writing. What Should I Do About It.

Like all writers, I would like to write professionally. A realistic inspection of my abilities and talents leaves the dream wanting. My research tells me that one can write for a living, but the competition is fierce.

This is not unlike many professions. Let’s look at trucking for example. A person may be a phenomenal driver, but lack everything else required to be a highly profitable owner-operator. We all hear about the truck driver making $300,000/year, but the details of how they do it, those are some high weeds to get into.

Writing is no different. Look at who’s making it. I’ve noticed that it’s not possible to create the amount of content some writers do, so they’re using AI or hiring ghost writers. Either way, good for them. Comparison is the thief of joy, so don’t compare, take an honest review of your writing.

For me, daydreaming is a problem preventing professional level writing.
